Recently, saw this interesting blog post that i feel like agreeing on his stand, well, great clothes doesn’t mean great style/fashion, and great fashion doesn’t really need great clothes, it’s best to MIX AND MATCH, with a great colour combination and with your best attitude and confidence, i am sure you will also be standing out among the crowd:)

itsamazing:

Okay lately, well should I say for the past couple years I’ve heard all these claims from people saying “I’m the fashion king of Chicago” or “I’m the biggest shoe head in the midwest” or “I have so many designer purses I can use a different one for every day of the month.” Which brings me to these thoughts.

  • Get off your pedestal that you’re placing yourself on.
  • I could care less about how much you spent on your jeans, shoes, belt, watch, jacket, etc.
  • I could care less how many shoes (or purses) you have or how limited something is. None of that has ever mattered to me.
  • You can have $800 Louboutins or $500 Lanvins on your feet (or this exclusive sneaker or that) with $750 Dior jeans with a $900 Burberry jacket on but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have style or that you’re ‘fresh’ or ‘chic’.
  • What matters to me is how well you put an outfit together.. no matter if what you have on is a bargain $3 and you got it at Target, $300 and you got it at a department store or $3000 and its rare/hard to find/exclusive.

I understand that fashion is and always will be open to interpretation, but in all honesty money (yes, can buy you nice things..) never ever will buy anyone fashion sense or style.
